About Goblin Hobbies

Changing The Game For Fellow Hobbyist

Goblin Hobbies is the passion project of Brent and Casey—two miniature painting enthusiasts you may know from their YouTube channels, Goobertown Hobbies and eBay Miniature Rescues, or as hosts of Paint Bravely: The Podcast. Since launching our channels in 2018, we’ve been dedicated to the miniature painting hobby, and now, we’re excited to take that passion even further.

We love this hobby, and we wanted to create something truly game-changing for fellow painters. Stamping offers a fast, fun, and creative way to bring designs to your miniatures, and we knew it was something worth sharing.

Goblin Hobbies isn’t just a side project; it’s a long-term commitment to making innovative hobby tools. Beyond stamps, we also create miniatures (yes, we have minis too, and they’re awesome!).

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We can’t wait to see what you create with our stamps!

The Goblin Hobbies Origins Story

It all started with a really bad rubber stamp

Before plates, paints, and hobby tools, there was one oversized stamp that barely worked… and a stubborn idea worth chasing.

It All Started Here

Two Hobby Channels. One Shared Obsession.

Long before Goblin Hobbies became a company, Brent and Casey were already immersed in the hobby world through their YouTube channels. Brent created Goobertown Hobbies to share painting tutorials, hobby science, and encouragement for painters of all skill levels, while Casey’s eBay Miniature Rescues showcased creative restorations of used miniatures and inspired hobbyists to see potential in every model. Together, they shared a mission to make painting minis more fun and to make leveling up your skill easier.

From Hobby Talk to Big Ideas

A Podcast Is Born

Next came collaboration. In the timeline of Goblin Hobbies, the Paint Bravely the Podcast became the bridge between Brent and Casey’s individual YouTube channels and their eventual partnership as creators and innovators. While Goobertown Hobbies and eBay Miniature Rescues began as separate creative outlets, Paint Bravely gave them a shared space to regularly discuss miniature painting, tabletop games, hobby culture, experimentation, and creative projects together. As the conversations continued, so did the ideas. What began as hobby discussions naturally evolved into brainstorming ways to solve real problems painters faced at the hobby table, eventually sparking the creation of the Goblin Hobbies stamping system.

The First Shot

The Bad Rubber Stamp

Like most hobbyists, Brent and Casey have spent years improving their painting skills, but when a large project came up and they wanted to put squad markings on an absolute ton of models, there were only so many options available. Decals were the go-to, but sourcing hundreds of repeating icons was not the most cost effective solution, so they started looking to other methods in order to solve the problem. A rubber stamp was made in the hopes that they could somehow use it to stamp their miniatures, but alas, rubber stamps were just not made for shoulder pads.

A "What If?" Gone Right

The Turning Point

Then came the turning point. While on a hobby hangout call, Brent was talking to a mutual friend, Elma, who was working hard at a different hobby, nail art. She was stamping intricate designs right onto her fingers while everyone else was painting miniatures, and an idea started to form. Brent begun making a video that would feature the technique and one night, before a recording of Paint Bravely, Brent brought up the idea of the stamps. Casey jumped on the idea knowing that they had found the solution to the shoulderpad problem that had stalled their earlier project. Brent did not post that video, and instead, work had begun on turning a decade-old technology for nail art into something else entirely.

Tiny Stamps. Big Plans.

Goblin Hobbies Comes to Life

Behind the scenes, 2023 became a year of nonstop experimentation, testing, and development for Brent and Casey. What started as a simple hobby idea quickly evolved into a mission to completely rethink how stamping technology could work for miniature painters. Together, they worked to create custom designs tailored specifically for miniatures, refine the tools and materials needed for consistent results, and develop the right paints, plates, and supplies to make the process accessible for hobbyists of all skill levels.

Adepticon 2025
